Is anyone who applied for Citizenship application in November 2015 and got a decision already.

Yeah, my friend applied in early November, got it end of April 2016... So, about 5-6 months.

That was very quick, last year it took about 7 months on average.

Hello friends,

I am going to apply finnish citizenship in June 2016. I am getting umemployment money from Kela. Does it enough for Means of supports requirement? or what?

I saw some guys got negative decession on citizenship application becoz their income source was Kela uncle! although in citizenship application form they give a option to show kela as a means of supports. I will recommend u, if u have a very very strong ties with Finland then u should apply. Good luck

Impossible. Kela is perfectly acceptable for citizenship. However, relying on Kela can be cause for the cancellation of your residence permit if your category requires you to support yourself. Not having a valid residence permit would be cause for a negative decision.

No not yet. Its over 6 months now and still in 1st step... but i think they are doing student applications now.. thats why perhaps taking long.
I applied in November 2015 and i went to Police in early days of December 2015.

Hi,

I applied 31 Dec. 2015 and still didn't get decision. My case is difficult because I applied with Alien's passport and also I have been in Finland only 4.5 years. I'm not surprised if I get it after 1.5 year.
