Anttila files for bankruptcy

So, anyone else ordered something from there lately? I ordered some goods worth 50 euros from Kodin1 (=Anttila), and now it seems i have lost my money and won't receive my package. Theoretically, if i go to Kodin1 shop (which are still open) and take stuff worth 50 euros and walk out, what will happen? :D They probably inform the authorites and I will lose more than 50 euros, right?

Someone mentioned that there will be a closing sale which basically means that they will resell something that i have already paid for, seems unfair.

The same as going to any other store and taking stuff without paying --> you commit a crime. I assume the guards in Anttila are outsourced so they have no less incentive than before the bankruptcy.

Always prefer to pay with credit cards or invoices. They should evaluate the consumer protection in cases like this but until then the law is what it is.

If you paif by card, you can ask the bank to initiate a chargeback.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

I paid through the internet bank. I guess this money went for my schooling: next time i know to use different methods for paying :)
Luckily the amount is not that big, i have read from other forums how people have ordered stuff for hundreds of euros and are in the same situation as i am.

How much you follow local news? This was a pretty big thing in Finland, so in time it should be in news if it looks like the unlucky customers like you can hope to get their money back in part or full.
