Is it legal to not pay for the sick leave?
Can an employer make such a contract that he doesn't pay for the first day of the sick leave? Or doesn't pay if the sickness happens on the weekend? Even when there are agreed working hours?

It's not my employer but I came to know one company with a workforce of around 100 people applying these kind of rules.

Check if there's a collective bargaining agreement. It is legal to change sick leave conditions in those. If the employment contract matches those conditions, then there's no harm done. For reporting there's:Honest wrote:Where to report such a practice?
