Good gyms in oulu ?

Hey there,

I will moving very soon to Oulu, and I wanted to know about some good gyms and also swimming pools with decent equipment and fairly ok membership prices. Preferably around Kajaanintie 38 or the neighbouring areas. So can any person from Oulu bless me with their knowledge on good gyms and swimming halls and their prices...

There are two public swimming halls both located near city center. http://www.ouka.fi/oulu/liikunta-ja-ulkoilu/uimahallit. Raksila (address: Pikkukankaantie 3, Oulu) swimming pool is just behind your address, about 100m.. how lucky you can get... price: http://www.ouka.fi/oulu/liikunta-ja-ulk ... kaytannot1 if you are a student, you get a discount. Per visit would cost you 3,20€ if you are a student. Damn, things have gotten real expensive. I used to pay 2€ per visit when I was unemployed but that's a couple of years ago.

I don't know them personally but Liikku, Hukka, Fressi etc seem to be bit popular. If you go to Raatin Liikuntakeskus (address: Raatintie 2, Oulu), there you get both gym and swimming hall.

If you are a student (guessing by the address), it's worth looking into the University Sports of Oulu -program. http://www.oulunkorkeakoululiikunta.fi/ ... ?page=home

The sports pass costs 48 € / year, but you get several sports services at a discount / for free.

By the way, there's also some outdoor gym equipment in the park behind Ouluhalli. They can be used for free 24/7.

I think the 25 € monthly card has no usage limitations, except you probably can't use the pools and the gym with the same card.

But is there like a set limit sessions for the monthly card, that you know of ???

I think there's a notice stuck on wall that says your session shouldn't last over 2 hours or something. However, I guess no one gives a damn about those notices.
