Extended work permit

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone know what is the process for extending work permit. Currently I have 1 year A RP, intended to extend for the 4 years RP. Just want to know if the extended permit will go through Te again? The information on the migri website doesn’t seem to be very clear.

did you get the information you needed? I renewed mine last year November if not I can guide you on what I did.

You people are weird. What value does the experience add? The law says that the RP extension goes through the same process as the first RP if it's under the same grounds. In this case, it's a work permit with no special factors, so it goes through market research (decision from TE) and so the extension goes through the same.

Sometimes, but not always. I don't know since 2017, but until 2016 there were exceptions. You don't need to lose your sh*t every time someone ask something in details.

It did for mine last year. Funny thing, my spouse and I applied for extensions at the same time but my spouse’s permit ended up getting processed nearly 5 months after mine was approved and TE contacted my company and me for 2 pages worth of updated documentation. It was almost exactly the same stuff that I submitted months earlier. So, from my observations, migri and TE are getting more strict and cracking down because a few people were abusing the process. It was a pain, but I was happy to comply. If you have nothing to hide, then be honest and don’t worry.

Hey all the information is on enterfinland.fi create an account or log in if you had created one during your first application.
don't forget to request for your tax information in advance since you'll need it during the application and it might take a while to be posted to you.

For real the process was way easier than I thought but I think It's because I had all the necessary documents. No interviews were done just them cross checking if I had all the required documents. So just relax.
