Hi KuusiPala !
Where did you apply from? Which city?
I know someone in Tampere who applied on 12th July and got the citizenship decision even before the Christmas holidays.
I don’t know if they even follow any queue literally ot they have set some principles about which nationalities to grant first !

Got my positive decision right before Christmas. It might go quicker because there were two minor co-applicants with me and for one of them residence permit would expire by February.

Where do you come from? I have observed that Nepalese always tend to get citizenship faster. Similarly, some other countries too.kuusipalaa wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:24 amHelsinki

Yup that’s not realistic but a pre-programmed calculator for all categories
But what is interesting is the fact that apparently, there is something more to queue only because those who applied on 13th, some of them got on 20th Dec while some didn’t even get a supplement request

“You should not compare your processing time to the processing time of other applicants, because the processing time varies depending on the amount of investigation needed for each application.”
but I am, as everyone else are just so frustrated of waiting haha so better just forget it and time will fly

Thailand. Sure nationality affects the processing time as it would be easier to investigate in some countries and vice versa. I know some Vietnamese who got decision after 4.5 months, while none of the Iranian - Iraqi got it in less than 7 months. It’s clearly understandable.suomenkansa10 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:58 pm

I strongly believe that influences the processing time too. As I said before, Nepalese tend to get quicker than other South asians, based on my personal observation.

I don’t think so that they would investigate you by contacting someone in your own home country. They might do that if you came as a refugee though or if you have some prior criminal history or something. But, I doubt that they don’t do it like that
