But the thing is that I am not sure if anyone has ever been asked for the original passports as supplemt request. That sounds and seems quite rare phenomenon. As I said, maybe because my passport dates back to 2016, that’s why they might be interested in the older one to check my travel stamps, for example.

thanks , I dont think nationality has any relation into this. My friend who comes from the same country with me, proved his identity in August 2018 in Helsinki still waiting for decision, still in stage 1 .

Thanks but as I said, it’s true that it might take time different times for two people belonging to same countries but people from certain countries always get it earliest/ quickest while people from certain nationalities would never be close to that earliest/quickest time no matter how excellent their application is. Of courae, it’s not the only criteria for their classification. There has to be some other factors as well. Only Migri knows all that.

I proved my identity 18/12/2018. Today i got email from migri that my application waiting for process.
Is there anyone got this kind of emails before? .. i mean is it following up email and automatically sent after specific time or it means soon they will start to handling the application? As this kind of emails should be sent after the prove of identity not after 3 months.

Hello everyone

I proved my identity 18/12/2018. Today i got email from migri that my application waiting for process.

Yesterday, they sent me my passport back via post but immigration officer told me that the decision might take some time as it’s ‘kova ruuhkaa’ at the moment. Actually, I am supposed to travel somewhere so she advised me to travel and tell her the dates because she believed that decision might not be ready in two weeks. I said ok. It might take 3-4 weeks as I am going out of Finland as soon as I receive my passport.

I'm wondering if it's possible to receive a positive decision while outside the country ?? And how it goes if that happened ?? Do you still be able to use your RP to return to Finland?

Your residence permit is not valid once you get a citizenship. You should inform migri so that they don't make decision while you are abroad.
