I posted about this in another thread, but yes - mine was processed in about 2.5 weeks.

Ours (my wife, our two daughters and mine) were approved in 8 days, so yes, it is possible. I guess it depends on the grounds. In our case is a "Residence permit application for persons employed as a specialist". In my company they advised my family to apply at the same time with me, that would made their decision together with mine, which should be faster than "family ties". I mean apply on family ties after the "sponsor" residence permit has been approved.
