Hi,
I'm Ratan from India. I have a Finnish Residence Permit (A Type) based on work that will be expired next year. I came to visit my country last month. If I will be outside of Finland for 190 days (about 6.5 months), then could I able to extend my residence permit? Another thing does it break my continuation of A permit that will be caused a delay in getting Permanent Residence or Citizenship?
Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Re: Living Outside Finland with Residence Permit (A Type)
From according to the migri website you can only take a short time period abroad. 6.5 months will delay your time for a Permenant residence permit as you have to have lived in Finland for so many years. Honestly they say a short holiday is the only exception to not breaking that period. I wish you good luck on your trip.
