legal status during 90 day visit

I am in Finland on a resident permit issued by another schengen member state (Poland).

This allows me to enter Finland and stay here legally for 90 days.
I entered Finland on 01 July, 2019 and got married on 05 August, 2019 to an Icelandic citizen (Nordic).
My migri interview is on 27 August, 2019.

Now will my 90 day clock "stop" after I give the finger prints (i.e. I can stay longer in Finland while I wait for a decision)?

Or did the 90 day clock already stop when I submitted an application for an eu family member card?

It stopped when you married.

I don't think this is correct? It stopped when she applied for rp. Marrying doesn't automatically give you extra benefits.

Yes you're allowed to wait in finland for decision.

Marrying an ETA citizen does. Who are you talking about? No-one in this thread is applying for a residence permit.

A permit is an explicit permission granted to a Non-EU citizen to live in Finland. A residence card is issued to members of EU Family. A resident permit is different from a residence card.

If your spouse is an EU citizen then you are deemed to have a natural right to live here and therefore you do not need an "explicit permit". It is more like registering as the spouse of the EU Citizen and applying for a "card" which costs only EUR 54 as opposed to a permit which costs more than 450 EUR in some cases. As a family member of the EU citizen, you are only exercising your right to be with your family (or your eu spouse is exercising her right to sponsor you).

When you leave your rp application, they will give you a document stating you are allowed to stay in Finland for the duration of the process. However it is not usable for travelling, so if you exit Finland, it won't be applicable to re-enter.

Last time I saw one it said it was not a travel document. Travel documents are, for example, passports. Not being a travel document doesn’t mean that there wouldn’t be relevance for travel.
