Ceiling Lamp - Wires

Hi guys,

Moved to Turku last week and I bought a ceiling Lamp from Ikea for my living room. Now I have a problem with installing it. The Ikea lamp has ground, neutral and live wire. From the ceiling there are three cables (green, grey and brown(or is that violet?)) and there are two light switches (in one place -> see the pic).
For what is the second light switch? There is just one lamp in the living room
Which cable should I put where?

Btw, the building was built 1967
I‘m not sure if there is a ground wire already in the ceiling or not (could it be that it is the green one?)

You have a neutral and two lives for a light with multiple bulbs, just put a choc block or similar on one of the lives.

How about the grounding of the lamp itself?

Need to move to a much newer home to find earth wires in the lighting circuit. If your new light is metal don't lick it when it's turned on just in case.

Hello. The reason you have 3 wires, is because you have 2 switches. So that you can attach 2 circuits separately and control them separately.

So you can have all Lamps ON, or only some of them ON while the others being OFF.

If your lamp has more than one light bulb socket, you can take advantage of this wiring and use the 2 switches to control your light bulbs in 2 groups
