Re: Citizenship Application 2020
Hi all,
I have lived in Finland for 9 years (5 years student, 1 year work, 3 years family tie). I am planning to apply for citizenship and proving about means of support is quite problematic.
How should I prove the means of support when I was a student, if the money was sent by my parent? If the proof is bank statement, do I just show the bank statement of the months when I received the money? Or all the monthly bank statements during the whole student period? (or even the whole 9 years of my stay..?
)
Do I need to prove how my parent got that money? (It is like proving the source of 'the source of my income', weird).
Thank you in advance

I think bank statements is enough to prove the means of support. Also I think that migri may not ask you to provide sources of income of your parents. Normally such kind of clarification of sources of income of sponsor are asked during first time residents permit applicantion. Please check migri website for accurate information. Above points are strictly my personal view. Good luckMustakissa03301 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 8:59 pmHi all,

I proved my identity on 17.03.2020.
My application is in the "Waiting for processing" phase.
Background information: I came to Finland as a master's student in August 2014. My current residence permit's grounds are family ties. My spouse is a non-Finn, and works full-time. I work part-time. I also receive adjusted benefits from the unemployment funds.

Re: Citizenship Application 2020
Hi guys. I have been living for 1.5 years on type B and over 2.5 years on type A. I will meet oleskeluaika requirement in 10 months. Given the fact that the process takes nowadays about a year, do you guys think I can apply now (hopefully I will meet oleskeluaika requirement when my application is being handled?)
