Congrats! Did you get a notification when it went into processing? Or only when the decision was made?
Thanks!

I only got one notification, for the decision.

It’s so weird, you guys have applied later than me but are getting your decisions (very happy for you nonetheless!)
I applied in April and proved my identity on May 14th. 2910-ish in the queue.

While waiting for the decision, I have a question regarding the rights and responsibilities of a Naturalized citizen.
Is there any limitation to a naturalized citizen's rights? I know that one cannot be president but that's only a very far-fetch idea. Is it possible to move out of Finland for an extended period of time without losing the acquired citizenship?

You have to change your passport every 5 years from the consulate or the official representing Finland where you are going. That’s the only problem I know.

There are some limitations. One that I am aware of is you cannot as easily obtain citizenship in another Nordic country if you are a naturalized Finnish citizen.

Really? I remember reading it in the case of a naturalized Nordic citizen moving to Finland but when checking Swedish citizenship rules didn’t see it there!

I think I got a message like this 2-3 months into my application. Been waiting for 7 in total. Don't really think it means anything other than they maybe have sent some requests to other authorities.

I have received the same email yesterday and wondering the same. Applied beginning of Feb 2021. Interestingly, this is not the same email that is sent every 3 months and it comes from a different email address (
noreply@migri.fi instead of
eservice-noreply@migri.fi). Either this means something or they changed their automated email procedures.
