Same. This seems to happen periodically. Sometimes it barely moves or stays same and then it moves 25 places in one day.

I think the kamu chatbox is broken. I have two applications all are unchanged since Friday. So the queue did not move at all

I suggest people email Migri about this. They have sent me back their usual letter, but maybe if enough people contact them, they will finally look into this. It can't be just a coincidence that the queue is not moving at all.

Try to relax queue number does not mean anything. I would rather prefer that queue to disapear than playing with people sanity. Migri is just entity that does not care and do whatever they feel like. A common Permanent residence application permit is taking over 6 months. My queue number is about 400 and last month they gave decision to more than 1000. What I can tell you is that queue does not mean anything. The migri officers just browse and base on their mood they pick . If they dont like our head they skipped on us. One thing is for sure one day they will be force to decide on your application.

Is there anyone who has applied for both Citizenship and PR together and got citizenship? Could you share the timeframe and queue number when you got the citizenship? Does it make a difference if you apply for both together? Does it speed up the process?

The country is not on the list. But it is not from what is called a developed world.
Came to Finland as a student and now working with a permanent residence.

I just wanted to say that assigning different queues to applicants is a ridiculous idea, what is the point of the queue anyway?

You lack sympathy. Apparently you never been subjected to Racism or Sexism in your life. You have no idea how dose it feel when all your European and Females friends get their decision in 7 months (some even sooner), and you are the only one that his application hasn't been even started.

The word in this case is called empathy, not sympathy (and no I don't). Also that's a completely ridiculous assumption that I haven't faced racism or sexism and your anecdotes are totally irrelevant. Just because some females you know got their decisions earlier than you, that is not sexism or racism at all.

I don't mind the check and the wait, Migri can check my application as much as they want/need. It's their job and I am totally ok with it. But at least start my application on my queue. That is all I want.

Clearly you mind because all of your posts are nothing but complaints about it. When it's your turn, as many others have experienced and explained, the process goes almost immediately. So what you are asking and expecting is just foolish. No one owes you anything. As I said, applying is a privilege, not a right. It's something you earn.

I am working 8 years here, paying a lot of taxes. It is a least my rights to ask a governmental organisation as why my application is not started (meanwhile my friends who applied in same week got theirs application started in December) and get a fair answer. Not just a copy past answer that the processing time is 25 month.

Sure, but that is not what you are doing. You are complaining on a totally unrelated forum. Also I've lived here more than 3 times longer than you and worked and paid taxes for this entire time, so it stands to reason that just based on length I have had 3 times as long to experience 'racism' and 'sexism' than you. You're just a number in the queue like everyone else and you don't get any special treatment and this has nothing to do with you being Indian or otherwise. This is something you should have learned after 8 years. Read the post below yours. Your anecdotes are purely that and do not remotely represent the bigger picture. Seems it is likely as I said, that around >4000 you are quite close to getting a decision. As the rest of applications are most likely paper etc. and are processed in a different pile and at a very different speed. Congrats btw.

Here's my numbers for those interested and for my own records.

At this speed, and if <4000 is the average place most people get their applications processed. Plus if I add together Migri's own calculations and anecdotes from people I know. I "should" be able to expect a decision in Late October, not including any future obstacles and so on. So that would make about 10 months waiting time.

Don’t want to ruin anyone’s hopes and expectations but I applied online and my queue number is around 2500 mark and I still haven’t gotten a decision (or had my application move to processing). So I think it’s completely unpredictable.

Haha, How do you assume that I am Indian? in fact, I am far away from India. I find it a bit racist you assume or generalise to a nationality like that.
