Finally after 16 months of waiting got my positive decision today

My timeline was as follows:
Came in 2013 as a student and was on B permit up until 2019 when I got work-based A. All my A permits were year long and currently I have Researcher rp type A. Applied and proved identity in beginning of February 2021. In June 2021 had an interview with SUPO. I am from an Eastern European country not on the list. The queue numbers I started tracking from may 2021 and they were as follows:
28.5 4139
2.06 4093
8.6 4054
16.6 3982
29.6 3873
1.7 3848
6.7 3835
23.7 3745
31.7 3670
9.8. 3604
14.8 3535
31.8 3259
6.9 3197
15.9 3096
28.9 2968
06.102841
12.10 2791
23.10 2730
30.10 2686
9.11 2660
16.11 2639
30.11 2558
8.12 2538
20.12 2486
6.1 2435
17.1 2412
21.1 2395
26.1 2386
23.2 2282
25.3 2132
29.3 2117
20.04 2028
21.04 2008
9.05 1929
11.05 1909
16.05 1883
19.05 1847
How legit is this?
Ensi vuoden alusta alkaen Suomen kansalaisuuden voi saada kielitaidottomana ja ilman henkilöllisyystodistusta
https://www.kansalainen.fi/ensi-vuoden- ... odistusta/
As others have said, this is a sensationalist piece. Also, the situations described wherein the language/identity requirement could be waived/lightened would be very specific and rare. I suspect that if anything, the laws re. citizenship might be tightened going forward. The residency requirment for Finnish citizenship is quite short at the moment compared to many other EU countries.

It better be !"#¤%. Every single EU country requires you at least speak the language before being able to even try for citizenship. Finland would be like the first country to abolish that. Last thing we need is people who don't even care about the language, or speak either Finnish or Swedish at basic B2 level getting citizenship... If they relaxed the restrictions it would actually just lead to an even bigger mess of trying to figure out who's-who.
Sweden doesn't have language requirement unless they have changed recently.

I don't think Sweden's path is a path Finns want to follow these days

The Swedes are in fact now considering adding a language requirement.

My queue number is not moving forward at last 3 week is same number stage 1 and queue is still 2644. I only cheek every Monday. Some one told here that Migri are now making a decision 500 cases 1 month. if that’s happening I might get decision around the October. Application submitted 9.05.2021 and identifying myself 25.05.2021 overall 1 year 6.

My queue number is in 3400s now and definitely moving slower than for people in this thread who have recently applied, about 10 places a day. I confirmed my identity in August 2021, so 10 months going.

How long is the processing time for refugees or who got international protection? Any idea? Is there anyone or knows anyone who applied citizenship with refugee/subsidiary protection status? Is the processing time limit is the same like others?
Anyone to share valuable opinion?
Wish all the best to everyone!

Depending on children mother or father ,If anyone is a Finnish citizen child get citizenship as long ,I know that way. You can’t apply the children citizenship. if the family is members foreign or depending on residence permit.Child get permit too that time Family income taken into account. If the father or mother citizenship Application process at Migri child belongs to co application under age child depending on you same application same Diary number on the way.

Hi
3 years maximum waiting period I know some guy we went school together working same company and he is from Ethiopia he applied 01.2.2020. Still waiting a good guy who is working and paying taxes because his African because he doesn’t have blue eyes he could get decision like Ukraine’s get in one day. It’s kind a joke shameful .They know should first process the existing file. We are waiting for decisions for more than that a year some of them 2 years a then over . Migri never speeding up the service if you Muhammed Abdul whatever. They are waiting for you too commit the crime so they can kick ur ass easily. Need to be patient.
