Hi
Seems processing time has changed for people who came here with residence permit to 7 - 16 months. Has anyone noticed this? It is in both kamu chatbot and processing time in migri website.
Jos sinulla on kansallinen passi, kansalaisuushakemuksen käsittely kestää keskimäärin 7–16 kuukautta. Käsittelyajan laskeminen alkaa siitä, kun olet käynyt Maahanmuuttovirastossa.

I was asked by Migri to prove the means of support for a few months when I was unemployed.
During that time I was eligible for social benefits but I did not apply for any, as I had enough money in the bank from my savings.
Is a bank statement good enough proof ? or do I need to prove the source of the money in the bank?
Thanks in advance guys

I'm already waiting for 14 months. Still on stage 1. Since in July migri had 3000 applications from 2020, I don't expect mine will be processed till the end of this year.

At least if you check new processing time it says 7 - 16 months so yours might come latest November if they respect that and does not change the time soon

This processing time is only approximation. It can be changed even tomorrow if they want to do it. Lady in service point told me that my waiting period can be up to 18 month long. So I don't know if those numbers mean anything at all. For example, my friend got decision in 7 months, what is 2 times shorter than my current waiting period.

Go get yourself some kind a union or työttömyysturva you have right for that , informing the Te-office . Depends on how did you end up where you were working bfore.if you quit your job, express yourself and you can say it's a three month quarantine. They will consider how could you support yourself while quarantine,Bank statement that would be help depending on the According to the status of the residence P or A. If it is A spouse then no needed for anything.

Ok nice that sounds like good sign

but yours has been in stage 2 for long then

Looks like they open the file but does not move to stage 2 until they finish some checking

According to migri's website as of today (2022-09-22): "Expected processing time for application 7-26 months." So, not sure where the 16 mentioned above is coming from.
