Got my positive decision today!

I verified my identity on 8.8.2022, so It took 6 months and two days.
Initial place in the "queue" 7218, and today morning it was 4285.
Over the previous weeks the position was falling more than 150 positions per week, even on Saturdays. So I guess they are speeding things up.
I've been checking my position in the queue everyday to build this graph:

My case was very straightforward: Came as a master's student, permanent job for more than 5 years and never being unemployed in Finland, married with a Finn, very few travels abroad, and with good Finnish skills.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting!
Ah yes another straightforward case 😅. Congrats!

Congrats, Mate! Could you please tell me when did your application move to the second stage (in progress) and for how long was it there?

What does migri call a good reason for the fast processing of residence permits and citizenships? This is very funny when someone comes up with a reason that is very logical they decline saying that is not a valid reason to process an application fast. I am kind of curious to know what are the valid reasons :D :D

Could it be related to translation difficulties, when Migri send a request to home country? E.g. if they have a lack of authorized translators, especially if the language is rare.

very frustrating! What is painful is that since 2021we are waiting and are still in stage 1 and no one has checked our applications. Basically, people in 2020 and 2021 are the ones paying for backlogs meanwhile 2022 is getting them. Those in 2022 their queue numbers are moving by about 500 a month very sad you pay same money and are treated differently :beamer: :beamer:

It as though something happened during the CoVid era. People who applied prior to and after CoVid are treated quite fairly but those within that CoVid bracket are been made to wait extremely longer 😂.

Nowadays our applications moved 5 or 7 per day, which is really bad and sad.

You have no idea how this is depressing some of us. I applied in July 2021 and am still waiting for processing. 18 months still waiting....

FINALLY!

I got a positive decision after almost 31 months of waiting.
I was informed by an SMS about the decision.
Queue number was 150.
I applied on 09.2020
Country is not on the list but I am a sand person.

My "hint" : when you ask about your case, maybe it is better to contact directly the officer who is on charge of your case and not info at Migri. In my case the officer gave me more insight into the process.

Thank you all!

Good luck everyone!

You was mentioned here that you have a friend in Migri. Did he/she helped you to get a decision so fast?
