I applied in Dec 2021, I checked my identity in Feb 2022 and my queue number is 18XX. I noticed that my application passed to "step 2" at the end of last year but since then nothing! I haven't gotten any reply from them![]()
Have anyone encountered the same situation? I would like to ask Migri for some updates via email, but I can't find the email address or the place in the web portal to do it.
Thanks in advance for any help![]()

Wondering if some Migri personnel still working in July or everyone started their vacations already, i.e. no chances for good news until August at least.

Applied this week. Not sure if queue number gives any idea in the beginning, on how long I will need to wait... it is 69xx

Not sure how relevant queue number is. Some applicants have gotten decisions after three months, some after six or seven, and some after two years

Best of luck with your application!

Still interesting how it works and how they are going to process our applications if the law is going to changeAuringon_kukka wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 2:52 pmNot sure how relevant queue number is. Re: Citizenship Application 2023
Likely won't affect anyone who has applied already. Would be more of a headache even for those at Migri. Changing things for new applicants only would be a far better idea for them because it would allow them to effectively "stem" the influx, so they can work on what they already are behind on.
Pretty sure people could easily argue that it's not lawful to change the process after the application has been submitted too. There's no "conditions subject to change without notice" clause on Migri's page. Normally these changes need to be announced well in advance.

Hi everyone! Joining the anxious crowd.
Applied for citizenship mid-September 2022, proved identity the same time. Have master degree from Finnish University, have been working full-time nonstop since June 2018, no Kela support, non-EU, country is not on the list. Queue number currently 35XX.
Additional had to apply for a permanent residence mid-April, no decision there yet, living my “best life” without official documentation. Good luck to everyone waiting!

Good luck to you, too. My situation is similar to yours. Applied August 2022, proved identity that same month. Queue # now 33xx, still stage 1. Also had to renew my residence permit but went the extended route. Much faster. In fact, I applied online on a Monday and had my decision the following morning. Self-employed here in Finland since 2019, married to a Finn, no Kela support, from non-EU country. So, we waitKissanNokka wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 1:45 amHi everyone! Joining the anxious crowd.

I wish I could apply for the extended permit as well, but my dear bosses could not make the contract in time, so I went with permanent option.
I’m also waiting from September 2022, same grounds and quite the same situation
