Hi everyone,

How long did you guys have to wait from stage 2 to stage 3?
A couple of days. If it's Friday stage 2 then you will get the decision on Monday.

May I know when did you apply and what the queue number was then and now if it's on stage 2 in the process?
Hi,
I visited Migri in Lahti on 8/3/2023 ( queue: 65xx). On Friday morning 11/8 I got an email that my application started processing ( stage 2). My queue number now is 43xx. I hope I got the decision on next Monday and wish you the best! :D

Hi,
Glad to hear that the processing of your application has started!
One (maybe silly) suggestion, have you already checked EnterFinland and/or suomi.fi to see, if the decision is already there?
This is exactly what happened in my case, i.e., I only received the email that my application has started, I waited for a week for the final decision notice to come (thru email or sms as indicated by others here), nothing. One day I checked the EnterFinland website randomly and to my surprise, the decision was made exactly on the same date (as the processing has started email), but I had not received any notification.
Anyhow, good luck to you and all waiting.

Hi there,

I have been following this forum for a while and it is my time to say goodbye! After almost 18 months, I got a positive decision on my citizenship application. Here is some data for the statistics:

Visited migri: 24.01.2022
Moved to stage 2: 10.08.2023
Citizenship granted: 10.08.2023

Background: My first citizenship is not on the list, living in Finland for 7 years, came here as a PhD student in CS with permit B. Graduated, passed YKI test with "3" for all the skills, full-time employed now. The queue number was 70XX and honestly speaking I checked my queue number every week (on sundays). Yes, I am crazy, I know  . The decision was made when the number was 18XX. I tried to contact Migri only once using their secure email (https://migri.fi/en/contact-information), got a message saying that I need to wait patiently. However, a week later, the status of my application was updated and I got the decision. So I am not sure whether contacting Migri did speed up the process or not in my case. Wish best of luck everyone!

I have checked enterfinland. Unfortunately, it is still stage 2. I might get decision later not today.

i have been 4 months in stage 2 😑
and there are people here who have been for 8
Mostly, those who have applied within the last 6 months experience a Stage 2 processing time of just a few days or sometimes a few hours.

There were few similar quick stage 2 process posts over FB Group. I am quoting that.

Congrats.

I just hit 16xx queue number and 19 months. It would just be nice to get it before the end of the year at this stage. Otherwise, all one can do is work and wait.
The average Somali and Iraqi costs Finland €12,000 per person, per year.

Hi, are you currently on stage 1 or stage 2 and do you have any idea why it is taking so long?

Stage 1 and no idea. I've emailed them securely a few times and only ever got back:

1. This is not a good enough reason to expedite your processing, be patient.
2. Your application is pending, we'll contact you if we need more information.
3. I've checked your application and it's waiting for someone to be assigned to it to do it, please be patient.

So yeah. 18 months was a pretty standard waiting time when I applied.

26 months and counting queue number 65x :D :D looks like my application might be among the oldest in this forum now :D :D. The only thing I heard when I asked migri, they said just to be patient and that my application might be processed in the coming Fall. Let's just wait for the miracle to happen one day. I think we have waited longer enough
