Re: Citizenship Application 2023
Hi all, anybody still has problems with accessing their application on enterfinland? On Migri website it says the tech problem was fixed yesterday, but when I log in I can only see a 404 page (no application and no other account info)

It works again. I was using Mobiilivarmenne. What stage is your application on and when did you apply?
The average Somali and Iraqi costs Finland €12,000 per person, per year.

Re: Citizenship Application 2023
Five month here on stage 2 already, before moving to stage 2 they sent me an update message, the regular salary and travel update. since then i have not heard anything from them. i sent them message regarding my application 2 month ago and they just answered: your application is being processed. What worries me is being too long at stage 2, i remember there was someone here that was like 9 month on stage 2 and then he got a rejection. Let us hope for the best...

Re: Citizenship Application 2023
That was Mamu and it was because he stole 2 whole years of Kela money that he wasn't legally entitled to by lying and he hadn't paid off his debt even after like 4+ years. He'd also had problems/refused paying it off. He also said that they contacted him for clarification, gave him 3 months to figure it out. Contacted him again, he still hadn't paid his debts, so they gave him another 6 months and when he still hadn't resolved the matter. They declined his application. That's the only reason why he was declined. They clearly had overwhelming reason to decline him. They only decline your application if you have refused/neglected to pay off your debts. If you even have a payment plan that you are keeping to, they are fine with you having Kela or Student debts. You just have to actually take responsibility for them. He didn't. It also didn't help that he had lied in the first place which is why he had the debt. So they had good reason to decline his application.
Sh!t, I hope I am not in for such long wait. How long have you waited in total? I am hoping because it's been 19.5 months already that they won't make me wait even another full week. Especially as I gave them all the info asap and made it super easy for them to read and tick the boxes. Now I am kind of wishing I had filled in my salary and travel information monthly so maybe they would have just approved it already on Monday. Now I am wondering if being in "Stage 2" literally means anything at all...karhu86 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 4:52 pmFive month here on stage 2 already, before moving to stage 2 they sent me an update message, the regular salary and travel update. since then i have not heard anything from them. i sent them message regarding my application 2 month ago and they just answered: your application is being processed. Would be great to hear from other people how long they have been in Stage 2, specifically if they were asked for any additional information. Or if the application just moved to Stage 2 with no other notice.

I’m on stage 2 since almost 4 weeks now. Applied on march 2023 and always filed my salary slips and travel tickets before traveling since i travel alot and dont want my residence permit cancelled in another country. They didn’t ask for anything else and just waiting… maybe a background check? I’m from a country which is not on the list.37yqp8098y5 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 9:03 pmThat was Mamu and it was because he stole 2 whole years of Kela money that he wasn't legally entitled to by lying and he hadn't paid off his debt even after like 4+ years. You moved to stage 2 quickly. I applied in August 2022 and am still at stage 1. I wish you a speedy resolution, though.

Re: Citizenship Application 2023
Thanks for sharing. I know it's standard procedure but it would be ridiculous to do a background check on me. I haven't lived in my home country for 15 years. I'm hoping for a result this week but I won't hold my breath.Ohthatguy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 2:35 pmI’m on stage 2 since almost 4 weeks now. Did your friend receive an answer or are they still waiting?kalaizanala wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 6:33 pmAsking for a friend
Anybody here is applying for citizenship with entrepreneur background? I heard that waiting time is extremely long because migri is checking all taxes, incomes, expenses, everything belonging to applicants company money. My friend knows a person who was waiting for about 3 years because of his start up problems.

So checking back what I posted before. I was bang on correct almost to the date, on 2 months. I voted that Juls likely gets his answer first (and he did > Approved). I have heard nothing from No_doo and RandomDude. So it looks mine is second into Stage 2. However, it might take longer to get actual approval because Migri asked me more information. This means if No_doo and RandomDude haven't got anything, they should be just around the corner from going to Stage 2.
P.S. RandomDude is next on list at this stage. I think it will be max 2 months before he moves to Stage 2.
How your stage 2 is proceeding?
Also I'm wondering what is your calculation method?
Could you share?
I just did a bit of digging using the diary number and Kamu asnwers of the graphical representation of the progress (mainly) and queue number:
= applied in early Jul'2022, current queue number is 27XX
= checked 20 diary numbers around mine (to get the bare minimum to make the statistical calcs somehow meaningful)
= distribution is following
== 18 individual cases
== 4 / 22% are DONE: decisions are made
== 8 / 44% are Long-Waiting: showing progress of 20-25% with the queue numbers grouped into 42XX and 17XX/18XX
== 4 / 22% are a kind of "Normal" with the progress of ~70% with the queue numbers around 27XX
== 2 / 11% are a kind of "Normal Plus" with the progress of ~80-85% and queue number 21XX and 17XX
= my application is falling into the Normal category
= assuming that the same distribution ratio applies for the entire backlog then there is ~600 applications in the same category ahead of me
= progress in the category (averaged for 30 days) is 5-6 cases / working day
= that makes the distribution of 0-120 working days or 5-6 months
= adding Xmas delay that would make 5-7 months
= with 50% luck (i.e., in the middle of the range) I'd expect decision in ~3 months, i.e. before EOY - and stage 2 should start in ~2mon (=~Nov)
= with 0% luck (i.e., being at the end of the range) it would be 7 months, i.e. ~Apr'24 and stage 2 starting in ~Feb-Mar'24
= that is somehow corresponding with the expected waiting time of ~20 months as Migri currently shows
That calc somehow calmed me down as at least I got an idea how long I need to wait.
Don't really understand why Migri can't introduce something more meaningful than the rubbish queue number that means nothing...
