Hi! I plan appealing the negative decision for firts entrepreneur permit, applied from outside Finland. My partner had toiminimi business already which is recently transferred to Oy (partnership of 49%, 51%) and upscaled to include a couple of other revenue streams. The main objection by ELY keskus is that they don't consider me a startup entreprenuer under Allien's act and commented that my role is operational implying that it's just a continuation of Finnish partner's busines with minimal entrepreneur role. Their second concern is making sure livelyhood during stay.

Q1. Can someone share experience/example of getting first entrepreneur permit (applied outside Finland) based on already running business in Finland?
Q2. How to doucment that entreprenuer would be earnig at least for example 1300€/month, job contract doesn't seem to be enough as they idicated that the hiring from outside is supposed to go through local/EU market evaluation etc.? We have 49/51 profit distribution overlall but they expect something specific.

"fast-growth company" is the key to demonstrate for the start-up entrepreneur residence permit.
Is the business plan clear and plausible that you aim at 7 digit revenue and plan to hire several additional employees in the next years?

Start-up entrepreneur or normal entrepreneur?

That's only true for no-skill labour whose salary is below average.

If you own less than 30% of the company, your position requires skills from a university degree, and the job guarantees a salary of at least 3473 Euro/month, then you are a specialist who can skip all the waiting and evaluation required from applicants with below-average salary.

Contracts with customers and a business plan showing that your share of the company profits will be at least that much should help.

There have been people (also in this forum) who had existing Finnish customers of their IT business abroad, and got an RP when moving their business closer to their customers.

The minimum salary for a non-trainee office cleaner in Finland is 1800 Euro, and this is a regular income.
Positions that require qualifications have a higher salary.

Your description sounds as if you would be earning less than an employed person would earn for the same work, plus the risk of not earning anything at all.

What comparable income for an employed person are you using as basis for the mandatory entrepreneur pension payments in your business plan?
