This is quite old medium post. I agree with the logic to have queue number but Migri does not follow this and they do process applications randomly.
Let's hope they get back to the 4k-5k range!

I hope that they go high enough and then start over again. Let's say from 2000
I can see some good drop in the queue today, 17 points.
Seems like they have processed 4-5k range applications.
Any Data interpretation from your end based on yesterday's queue drop?

I am gathering data weekly to avoid unnecessary load on Migri website.
Thus, I don't have any data for yesterday yet.
Btw we discovered with Guess.who user that we always have same queue but different dairy numbers, and, yes, I also had a drop of 17. Any explanation why same queue number is used for same people?

Hey! What about an illustration which Kamu provides along with a number of applications before yours? Does it have any meaning? I have 39xx applicants before me and on the illustration I have not even reached the middle. I've applied in the end of March 2023. Does it mean that I need to wait at least 9 more months?

It looks like currently they are processing applications which have numbers (9100-9400)/310/2023 (Like 9100/310/2023, 9101/310/2023, 9102/310/2023 etc.)
What does these number really mean? I am seeing variety of numbers and am confused. Mine is 13054.. and I applied last October. I have seen smaller numbers like 61. Please can someone explain these to me? Sorry if this question is discussed before, I'm new in this forum and read all comments before this, still am confused.

I applied 10.2023 but my number today is over 6000.
See this post.
The graph is pretty clear.

Hi guys
I am just wondering, if the attempts to solve the issue of the application backlogs is being somehow resolved, how come the maximum processing time doesn’t decrease, but is rather increasing?
And if the theory about that they are going “upwards” by the numbers, then how come we don’t hear from anyone applied in 2022 yet that has been waiting for more than 18 months, but less than 21 months?
I applied in October 2022, and i feel that we have been forgotten, and based on your previous reply to my question, my hopes for the 21 month deadline have dropped

Hi,
I have been reading this forum for a last few weeks and got a lot of useful information.
I have applied for citizenship end of December, right after getting my YKI results and have diary number of 16xx with 86xx queue placement. I didn't visit Migri service point since after submitting my application, it said I don't need to. I really hope that I would get a decision by the end of summer but let's see.
I have two question to lovely people of this forum:
1) Regarding period of residence and interruptions. In last sex years, I visited my home country and some other places within EU that was usually less than one month. However, I have 2 visits to my home country over one month. One lasted for 40 days during Dec 20, Jan 21 and other one lasted for 44 days during May 2022. Do you think these visits would cause an issue? It shouldn't according to Migri's website but you never know.
2) I saw a few time people mentioning a list of countries that supposedly causes application to move slower if your origin country is in the lis but I couldn't find such a list at the internet. I would appreciate if someone can clarify this and share the url to the list?
Thank you all!

I was about to post the same question regarding that illustration - How have others experienced it accuracy?
For what it's worth, I checked random diary numbers and noticed some lower in the que but less progressed on the illustration.
Example: someone had 2k people in front of them but have not moved at all in progression illustration. I have 8k+ ahead of me but have at least moved slightly. Of course, it's also possible that the diary numbers which I checked were not citizenship related..

but if there are 2000 people in the queue in front of you it doesn't mean that nothing will be done for your application until those 2000 people are processed. their applications might be pending some information request from abroad and while those are pending, applications with higher queue numbers are handled.
The lower your queue number the more likely you are to be amongst the slow movers who need extra validation / checking.

Good point!
Though, those with the 2k que number have not shown any progression in the "time line" illustration. Perhaps if they were pending further documentation there would be some progression shown on the time line.
