Thanks for the info. I am just curious, what is the oldest application Migri still processing? From year 2021?
Oldest application is 1515/310/2021, soon it will be three years for this one. So 29 month is obviously not a maximum.
I think applications above 29 months belong to countries on the migri list when it is hard to identify a person. Can I frame question like this: what is the % of applications which goes above 22 months and above 30 months?

I cannot know exactly when the application was submitted, + there are three queues, one of which moves faster than the others. I’ll analyze this more deeply tomorrow, but I can quickly give you the following information:
In 2021, about 14,000 applications were submitted; currently, 2,532 applications have not yet received a decision.
2022: ~13,400 total, 7,109 pending
2023: ~17,670 total, 13,054 pending

I have never understood this "three queues" concept. Kamu returns a position in the queue. How can you tell from that number which "queue" somebody is in?
Do you instead mean that people join the queue at different places? do they then progress through the single queue at the same speed of everyone else, or is their day to day progress quicker also?

When you ask the Kamu bot for a queue number, it gives you a bar with a marker of your position in the queue. So, for people from “our” queue with place 6000 the scale will be somewhere at 30%, and for people from another queue with place 6000 the scale will be at 0%. Therefore, there is no point in doubting that these are different queues, this is a fact.

You can see these queues on the graph if you find it somewhere higher in this thread, I posted this a couple of months ago.

I don't understand the idea of "our" queue either. If there are three queues why don't the people who are not in "our" queue post anything here with their different experience of applying for citizenship? Do they sign some kind of NDA .. "we are processing your application quicker than for other people, but in return you must sign this NDA and never post about your experiences"?

Thanks. It looks like >50% are not processed within 5-6 months but longer.

I have a friend who waited 3+ years because he had a record and his guess is that migri was waiting for it to expire🤡 it was something like 5-10 years ago though. So it is definitely possible
I heard months ago about 4 and 6 years and still pending, but those have been submitted on a paper, I guess

My guess is that these people are aware of long long processing time and simply not that interested in waiting. Also earlier in this discussion was a woman who told that her asylum seeker friend got place in another queue, so my assumption got stronger.

In my weekly reports I intentionally publish only that blue queue.

Red queue looks "normal" as well? How do you know that most of us are in the blue one?
I have started my waiting from 6500 queue position for example (in 2022)

Most (all) of the people who shared their queue number here have started from >7k queue number, so we assume that >7k is "our"
queue.
What is your situation? are you asylum seeker or have no valid passport? Or maybe your applications gets connected with other family member who applied earlier?

My situation is as regular as it can be - came to Finland with valid residence permit for work. Valid passport as well. Worked all the time.
Country is not on the list. No family members.
Go and figure :)
Applied 3 months before 4years. In November 2022. Queue was 6500 in the beginning. Now around 2700

So you are waiting like 15 months. This is quite short waiting time these days. After summer you will get a decision, I guess.

Oh, sorry, I get it now. you're also in "our" blue queue, it was probably so that in 2022 there weren't that many applications, so queue numbers in the blue queue started at 6500. For people who applied in September 2023 the queue started at 7900 and for people who apply now the queue starts at 8800.
