I cant find a decent calculator to help someone understand what the net salary could look like in Finland.

If someone wants to earn below net, what are the gross salary they should have? Thank you!

Hi, thanks but it doesnt show the net salary remaining, seems to only show how much tax they can take without other deductions or am i missing something?

It will tell you percentages and not euro amounts. You have to do the math yourself.

On the last page it will tell you your “tax rate calculated 2024” it is that percentage plus the box just below that where it says “In addition to taxes, a pension insurance contribution of 7,15% and an unemployment insurance contribution of 0,79% is collected from your pay. If you want to calculate how much pay you have left after the taxes and charges, add 7,94% to your tax rate.”

60-70k can get you monthly 3600 post tax and it's close to the ceiling of non-managememt jobs at least before covid. Tax rate goes progressly higher so 6000 is probably for top manager only.


If someone wants to offer me 6000, I'd rather cut my hours by 2/3. It's just not worth to make more money here.
