Insecurity in Oulu and Self defence equipment

Hi,

I am living in Oulu and of Asian background. Employed in a in Finnish company as a specialist. It is getting terrible to go out in the evening alone or with wife because everywhere I can see hate. Lately, hate crimes or racism increased in Oulu and stabbing have become very often a normal issue. Regardless of stabbing, spiting or vocal racism or punching on the empty road has become norm here. I would like to buy some self defence equipment and would like to get your recommendation.

I am also looking for leaving Oulu or Finland as well if I find some work somewhere. Anyway, could you please recommend me some sort of self defence equipment I can carry as a foreigner ?
