Any updates from citizenship applicants from OCTOBER 2022? Did anyone receive a decision recently or processing has been started?
Same here, applied on October 2022 and still waiting. To be honest sometimes I even forget I have applied for the citizenship 😂

I really feel for you and have my fingers crossed that your case is decided in the very immediate future.
Let's hope the best for all of us.

Hello all!

Today at 8:30 am I received my Finnish citizenship as well! Timeline:

04.12.2023: Submitted my application to Migri
08.12.2023: Received a diary number
21.08.2024 07h54 am: received a message that my application was in process
21.08.2024 08h304 am: received the positive answer.

I didn't have to visit Migri for this process and I had a Permanent residence permit (type P) since April 2022.

I have South American nationality and came to Finland with Permit type B in 2016 and got a type A in late 2017. I have a Master's degree in Finland and have been working a full-time job since I moved here. When I moved, I didn't have any family ties in Europe, but my spouse has been Finnish since 1 year and a half ago.

Good luck to you all!!

What’s your ground and background on the application if you don’t mind sharing? Hearing this makes me worried on how the Q is being processed.

I had my migri meeting 17.04.23, are there people getting decisions around the 18 month mark, or am I likely in it for the 2 years now?

Hi everyone,

For those of us waiting for a decision, can we just submit another application so that we could take advantage of the automated system?

Best regards

I am a December applicant / service point visitor from beginning-middle of the month.
Just received positive decision.

It seems many applicants from around the time I applied had received their decision in close order. So, there is at least some kind of system. Other information shared here suggests strong evidence that the multiple queue theory is accurate.

Perhaps the "system" in 2022 is different from 2023, just as there are now differences in the 2024 system compared to 2023. Though, familiarizing myself with what was said also in the 2022 thread was very helpful too. I suggest new applicants do the same.

I can say that the information shared here really helped me track and guesstimate when I would receive a decision with reasonable accuracy. Big thanks to you all for that! And best wishes to those still waiting.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing! Could I ask that you just received the decision today or yesterday? As I reckoned that your queue number was a few points before me, when back there Kamu was still available to us.
