Anyone else who applied late December not yet start processing?
Applied 29.12.2023
Diary 4.1.2024
17***/310/2023
Shouldn't be in long line
More or less the same dates, still waiting for processing.
Got the decision in the end. Thanks all for your info/support and best wishes for those who still waiting.
I'm still waiting for processing... Guess i either got skipped or it's more random than some of us thought

I don't know, I really don't get it.
It is so unfair that some people get precessed in 8 months and then get a decision in minutes while others that applied on the same grounds are kept waiting for years and then spend weeks in processing with zero trasparency on the reasons behind it.

Hi all (been away from forum after submitting the application & went for interview in Jan 2023)! Just got email 'the process has begun' so can't hold my excitement plus NERVOUSNESS. Would love to hear ab your experience with STAGE 2 and your takes on should I actively updates / send supplements for my application? Because
- Oct 2023: I quit my office job 1 year ago and did not report anything to Migri after that.
- Oct 2023 - Jan 2024: I worked part-time for a restaurant and made like a few hundred
- Jan 2024 - March 2024: No income - living off my emergency & saving fund
- April 2024 - Now: Making money by tutoring online but no contract just money sent to my bank. Soon needed to report for tax before the new year and thinking of registering Toiminimi)

Not receiving any penny from TE or KOKO because ugh it's another story but I also started master degree in Haaga-Helia since 2024 Jan. Thanks in advance for any input and GOOD LUCK for everyone who is waiting!

Hey Ha Nguyen,
Do you remember what your queue number was back in mid May right before MIGRI shutdown that chatbot feature? It would be great if you could share that info and also what is your approximate diary number.

Thanks and congratulations on moving into stage 2
Hi all got my citizenship this morning - 6 months later than the max date of expected result time estimation on Migri website from application date (Jan 2023). 4 days (2 sat + sun) from stage 2 to a positive decision. I hope you all soon receive yours! Ive been thanking this almost everyday the last 2 years as if I received already. I more than ever believe in manifestation xD As shown in my last name, I'm from Vietnam. Even quit my job 1 year ago. Not reported my employment change. Not a penny from Kela or TE but normal tax when working 2 years customer success in a tech company. I did not have employment contract until now but been double my hourly rate but freelancing to customers around the world. Graduated from UAS. Attending master since Jan 2024. All my tracking in case smbd curious!

I am now at 2 full weeks of “in processing” with no decision or request for more information. I don’t know what the issue is here but I am starting to feel very impatient :( I think I will send them an email early next week if I still haven’t heard anything.
Any tips from people who have been in similar positions?

Emailing them is likely to result in a generic please-be-patient-and-wait answer. Instead, why not go out for a walk and enjoy the (rare) November sunshine?

I, after fulfilling all the required conditions, language skills yki-test, over 4 years always employed, never benefit from any social service, with professional work permit A, I applied for ‘permanent’ and nationality 8 months ago and still no answer at least for ‘permanent’ permission. I had a fine in traffic because I had a driver's license from my country and I had not replaced it with a Finnish one. 2 months ago my ‘permanent’ application went to stage 2 and I received a positive decision from T-toimisto but nothing from migration, did anyone have a similar situation

Traffic fine has impact if it was classified as criminal record (usually, above 15-20 km). You would know if it was criminal record as police invites for a chat about that

Does anyone know what has been going on with processing of applications recently, why have there been many applications processed from april and march? It seems to me that migri has skipped Jan and Feb applications..

Has anyone else stopped receiving the “waiting for processing” automated emails? I was supposed to get it last Monday and have been getting them every 4 weeks for 9 months. I called Migri they didn’t seem to have a clue. According to Migri and enterfinland my application is still in the waiting phase.
