March 2023 here, entrepreneur

I am prepared to wait for 31 months and I am gonna live my life in full every single day of the waiting time.
We cannot allow Migri or anyone else steal joy and time of our lives, our time with children and friends because their not transparent processes.

I, personally, have travelled TWICE during my permanent residence processing time, and these trips were full of happiness and new impressions for me and my child.

Anyone from 2022 still here?
I'm also still waiting... From February 2022. Started progressing about 6 months ago. I haven't been asked about extra documents etc. It's very annoying but I also decided to adopt the same approach, we shouldn't allow them stealing our joy. After getting the decision, I will definitely complain about the processing time, inequality etc.

Hi everyone
I got my dairy number in July 2025, is there any July applicant who had received decision this January? The long wait is killing me😁

I've been waiting since August 2022, too, and processing hasn't even started yet, at stage 1 all the time.

Did you mean July 2024? I'm from July and haven't heard anything. I know people from June are still waiting, so it's probably too early for July even for simple cases.

I applied also in early July, but I think the wait is still quite okish, given that the June applicants are still waiting :D So give it some time. I've been distracting myself with work and other activities to forget about the wait, so don't let it bother you too much! :D

Do you know why so long? It is 35 months for you and exceeds all migri estimates

I agree, this is a very long time, but the interesting question is: is it possible to file a complaint somewhere and are there any authorities where the truth will be on the side of the applicants?

Today I got the decision, after 9,5 months

EU citizen background, salaried status.
Applied on 24/03/24
Visit to Migri and diary number on 02/04/24, 28xx
I contacted Migri by email in November and they predicted a total of 9 months of waiting, so quite accurate.

My case could be an anecdotal evidence that EU citizens are in a slightly longer queue.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey congratulations, we have almost identical application and diary number start dates so I will put my info for people to compare.

Non-EU ctizien background, salaried status. Original permit was based on family ties with finish girlfriend, current permit is based on work(there have been a cancellation and deport decision in between these permits which got cancelled by the higher court)
Applied 21.03.2024
Visit to Migri and diary number on 02.04.2024 , 28xx

I received a mail today , 15.01.2025 that my application moved into the 2nd stage (taken into progress)

Why did you think being EU citizen put you on to the longer queue? From our examples it seems they deal with less complicated cases in shorter amount of time. Do you remember when your case was put into progress stage?

Congratulations! That's very encouraging. Did the second stage go by quickly?
