Good evening, comrades, I wanted to share the good news that we have received citizenship today.
I submitted the application with the children on 13.08.2022,
on 07.03.2024 it moved to the second stage, processing, and today
on 12.03.2024 we received a positive decision. I waited a total of 31 months without one day.
And my wife filed separately with the children on 05/05/2023 and together with us she received a positive decision today. her wait was 22 months. It was a very long and tedious waiting period, but it's all over. I wish all applicants patience and a good decision.

Congrats! Do yoy know why it was long for you? Are you enterpreneur?
I'm a refugee.

Thanks for info. Feels that migri works with same timelines as 10 months ago, they onöy changed to 9-31 months on website. But foe others: quick queue - 9 months, long queue enterpreneur 23 months and refugees 30-31 months

Congratulations! I was waiting for your decision as well :) You can edit the year to 2025. :) I have been waiting 27 months now.

BTW did they ask for additional information?

The refugees were a priority on paper. But I guess too many applications made the priority group more crowded...

Hi all,

I have some questions:
1) Do I need to send all pages of my passport to Migri. They ask for copy of the passport but don’t specify which page or if they need all of it.
2) Currently, I am unemployed. Does it matter for the citizenship application? I mean, I receive aid from my unemployment fund not Kela.

Thank in advance for the answers.
Re # 1. I would photocopy the ID page and any pages with stamps on them.

Re # 2. Not sure, perhaps others can chime in.

Getting impatient?

Impossible to say with certainty. Next contact could be in a week, two weeks, a month, two months...

Hi! I wonder if stopping being an entrepreneur is going to be of any help with speeding up the application, or do they put cases into the buckets only once, when you apply?

In my case, I co-founded a company which is no longer active, but still legally exists, but I am afraid that makes me an entrepreneur and makes the wait longer. (I’ve been waiting for a year now.)
