Hello, Any updates from any 2022 applicants?

12.2022 here as well. Still in the first stage... Last summer Migri told estimated time was 29 months. A couple of weeks ago, they replied that the estimated time is 31 months... I think earliest we can hear is July.

12.2022 as well and still first stage hopefully we hear something soon. Please kindly let me know if there's any progress and likewise I will do same. Stay strong not so long anymore.

My application moved to processing stage yesterday. Let's see how long processing will take.

My application went into progress 3 months ago, after one month got one additional request about incone clarification and since then 2 months, no decision is made yet? What is wrong with Migri? I called and they said generally, just wait patiently.

Do not really know what to do, than waiting. So frustrating.

Permanent Resident
The process was made automatically and it took 5 months and 10 days
It went to second phase and one minute later was approved

Applied in January and decision received in June. 2025

Congrats, could you share what documents you attached and what did you put as your current likelihood? I am just thinking what type of application could get an automatic decision like this.

Thanks everyone in this group, I got citezenship today on basis of enterpreneurship. I submitted my application on 4th of July 2023. It took 23 month and 1 week to get to the stage 2. As I knew from this forum that it will go into processing after 23 months for enterpreneurs, I requested all updated papers from my accountant since the begginig of the company a week ago and attached them. I also took a screenshot from Vero that I paid all taxes on time. As a result, processing stage lasted today 2 hours without additional requests.

All the best to others who are still waiting and feel stress as I felt. You will also get to this stage, and all the stress will be in the past for you soon!

Note

If the applicant’s income is based on business activities, the following documents must be enclosed in
the application:
• extract from the Register of Companies dated less than six months ago
• profit and loss account and balance sheet for the most recent financial period
• certificate from the accounting firm on wages paid or takings into private use

One question: I applied for Finnish citizenship in June 2024. I have a toiminimi on the side, but it accounts for only about 10% of my income. The rest comes from my full-time job. My wife applied a month earlier, and her application has been in stage 2 for 8 months, but she hasn't received any updates or requests. Mine is still in stage 1.

I’m starting to wonder: Could my toiminimi affect the processing of my application or make it slower? Many of my friends with similar expert visas have already received their decisions after 9 months (they have only a full-time job).

I will advise you to not mention anything about your toiminimi because it will delay your application and probably put you in the 23/24 months queue. When I applied I had a toiminimi on the side too accounting for about 15% of my income at the time and I didn't mention it or submit any documents to the effect. I only submitted information and documents for my full time job and it took six months and I got the decision.

What if I do it like this: Submit the application and current income based on saving. Not mentioning about my past entrepreneur.

After submitting the application, submit the entrepreneur information separately, this way the system would not put the application to the 23 months queue?

Thanks! I honestly didn’t know that I could choose not to report my toiminimi, and I thought I had to include all sources of income. But it’s good that others are aware of this and can use that opportunity to get their decision faster. It’s a pity I didn’t know this earlier as I thought full transparency was expected by law.

By the way, do you know if both applications will be decided at the same time? My wife applied one month earlier, and I asked Migri to link our applications.

Misleading applications open legal doors for citezenship cancellation in the future, I would not recommend this path. Be transparent and safe, as a result.
