and it weighs in at 100 kilo and is located in a remote (no access road) mökki where one has to walk/wade 500 meters through a swamp to help you carry it to the waiting pick up truck! 
Hank have you thought about trying to sell it to the guy at Pinapple...he had a similar bed for sale when we were there.... and was asking several hundred € for it. ..(650€ I think)..He is sure to have a pick up crew to collect such items....apparently they are "in Items!" with the diplomatic residencies set.
Antique in Finland seems to be anything that is not the latest style. You see tons and tons of stuff in fleamarkets and junk shops (which in Finland are called antique shops ) that is total and utter !"#¤%. I have seen some atrocious pieces in some central shops that probably aspired to look "rustique" about 2100 e! That was such a rip off!
I thought then about my antiques at home and felt really well!

And still, people buy those furnitures, even lacked of style or design. It makes them feel nostalgia.Now, I believe, a rustique old furniture could not have design, meaning it was professionally conceived by a team of expert people (of the royal court, hehe). I think peasants did their things especially in a functional , economic way, with not too much pressure for decorative trimmimgs. Still, you can see huge pride and huge prices for selling what... old toilet from courtyard?

Here follows some new-speak definitions:
Antique in Finland is so old that nobody can remember where it came from. Something like 30 - 70 years.
Archeology is older than 100 years. Anything older than 100 year belongs to the state. If you own something older than 100 years, you may keep it, but you may not export it.

However,..... if the object has not been in Finland for longer than 50 years and if it has no connection with the Finnish culture, this law does not apply.
So, you can freely import and export the antique Roman coins you found in your backyard when you lived in Heidelberg, but you cannot export the old Russian tea set you bought here.

Kokoelmille sekä kansalliseen merkkihenkilöön ja historiaan liittyville esineille ei aseteta ikärajaa.
