Looking to make friends in Vantaa or surroundings

I am posting this for my cousin:

Hi,

I am in Vantaa for 3 more weeks. I work during the day, but am free in the evenings and weekends. I would like to make some friends to spend some time together and show me around. I am 19 and interested in learning Finnish, I will start 1st year of the Tartu University this September at the Finno-Ugric languages faculty.

Tuesdays to Thursdays is the only option for me, cause my high flyin' jet-set lifestyle takes me to the tropical paradise of Oulu at weekends...

Vantaa vandal's is not only open to those who live in Vantaa...it only requires that one is able to find Myyrmäki and then find ones way home again afterwards.

..the later task has proved to be a challenge for one of our American members on one best forgotten occasion though.

I am pretty sure I wont be doing much. I went out and drank like a Finn last weekend. My stomach needs recovery. It would be nice to hang out with some people from this board.

Tonight I need a recovery period...
Down town terraces will be packed with sun shine adicts.....
and I really do need a break from Lapin Kulta in Plastic glasses....and trying to keep the glass out of the sun so the beer does not boil !
Tomorrow she who must be obeyed says we are going to Suomenlinna to sample a few of their local brews ..so who am I to argue.... and She did say she would go to the cash point and make a sensible contribution...
