I was googling for a brilliant site about moving to Finland I once came over, didn't find it though, but I ended up here, and this is a good substitute (if not the best) for the site I didn't find back to

My bf in Finland sent the link to me ... said I could ask questions and read messages from people in my situation. It has already helped calm some of my existing fears ... but also create some new ones as well

Don't know where he found it from.

I've used "google" to look for -Finland Oulu forum-
Then I decided to join the group the day after my first visit here.
Useful discussions and nice people made the rest... you know, we're on the same boat here!

My grandparents immigrated to the US in 1910. Now there are only a few of us left who can speak the language. I found this site while attempting to learn a few Finnish words at the Learn Finnish site. I'm happy to be here. I have a few first cousins in Finland that I have never met and I feel a little closer to them now.

Hi, I found this forum on a person's site on StumbleUpon.com. I plan on moving to Finland soon and getting married. So I am quite excited... And a bit nervous too.

My partner told me about this website, I think he was looking for information about us getting married in Finland and he found the forum. Even though we are not planning to move to Suomi yet, the idea is not out of our minds either.
I have some Finnish friends here in the UK, but it is more interesting to read experiences, expectations and opinions from non-finnish and finnish about finland life through this service.
Thanks,
Bere.
