Skijumping, cross country skiing, and nordical combination.

I just want to know who likes the sports, because it is very popular in finland. I like it very much, and the finnish jumpers are very good. Which of them are your favorites? Mine are Hautamaeki, Ahonen, and Manninen.
I just want to know what you all think about that sport .

I think the combination has long been shadowed by the solo jumpers; but personally I think it is much more of an effort to be good in both.

BTW Its Hautamäki or Hautamaki if you miss the diacritics.

It's Nordic Combined, and I fully concur with Hank's view. The two sports appear not to be half as easy to put together as some might think. If Manninen weren't such a total dweeb, he'd be a star.

well, th person didn't need to know that. Because Germans for example use "ae" to write "ä" because German "ä" is phonetical "e" (in German phonetic) and I would write it the same way if I wasn't in Finland and hadn't learned.

I know it is Hautamäki, but i couldn't find the ä quick, so i wrote ae . I watchED, now the saison is over, skijumping always on german tv, because it isn't sent on dutch television, and i have not many problems with german, and there they wrote hautamäki also like hautamaeki.

Finnish is phonetic. Look at Hämäläinen. Anyone knows if its written Hamalainen that they are missing their dots, but Haemaelaenen is not Hamalainen, the word changes meaning with one letter, and ae is not ää.

yup, that's what I noticed when I came to Finland but living in Poland I used German way of writing (what was wrong, now I know)
