Speed up request for visa processing, what is a good reason?

Post by jedi » Sat Jun 04, 2005 10:06 pm

Hi!

I've heard of the ridiculously long processing times for residence permits (work permit based) in Helsinki. I also heard about the so called "speed-up-request" forms or letters that might shorten the processing time. According to "rumours" you need to have a good reason. My question is, what is considered a good reason? Is there any criteria or specifications???

Legal information should be FREE.
If there is a law, exception or appendix to the law, it must be PUBLIC.

Either you need the permit in a hurry which means you already have a reason or you file your application and wait like everybody else.

It's a very serious reason for me, it's a matter of keeping or loosing my job.

Then your employer should write the letter outlining the importance of your contribution etc. They already wrote the application for the employment opinion from the MoL.
