Sorry to dissapoint you Mightymite but I am not very much into cooking Polish food... I leave it to my mom or anyone who would like to spend half of a day in the kitchen :D Don't get me wrong - I really love my mom's cooking but I guess I am not patient enough...

I prefer Italian style cooking - it's simple, fast and above all veery good!
My latest discovery - penne with spinach & cheese sauce. Delicious!

Anyway, If you ever come to Poland please make sure to visit one of the Milky Bars (Bar Mleczny). They serve authentic Polish food at a very low price, and at the same time you can have a taste of Polish climates of the 80's for free

I've checked the site - recipes are ok but again, who would have time to prepare for example kielbasa at home?

Well, the few recipes I've seen its one of those "fry & forget" dishes. I make stuff like that all the time in the winter. Kielbasa the sausage looks like your generic "balkan" here. So I guess... hmmm.. OK, Donald's in for a surprise then :D
Cheers, Hank W.

hehe...don't you know this is a Finnish site?? hehe...just playin'...

if you are looking for really good pierogies you must go to this restaurant in Krakow (Polska). I've had homemade pierogies and although they are good they do not compare with the ones in Poland.

Some Polish foods are : keielbasa, pierogies, kluski, i potato pancakes...oh but finding them in Finland I don't think is possible...well find Polish people !

dzien dobry!

Now we occasionally import a string frozen when returning to Finland. He tried some stuff from Stockmann as well as a brand available in Haaparanta, but it didn't measure up. I'm part Polish myself. I used to like the stuff, but ever since I became a strict kasvissyöjä, I can't even stand the smell of it I'm still proud of the legacy, though...

There's a store with Polish products in the Hakaniemi Market Hall.
