Hi everybody,

I am new at this forum and I would like to share my details.

Came here in 2017 as a student and from 2019 I am on type A residence permit. In May 2022 I applied for citizenship ( still there were 3 months to complete 4 years residence period) and my son also applied as co-applicant. When I applied my queue number was something like 7700. In September October queue started to move fast for me. I had a trip planned for 5 days in October which unfortunately got extended for another week (everything related to that trip like extension etc. I informed migri as a supplement). So while I was abroad I received an automatic e-mail asking to submit details on my travel and means of financial support for the last 5 months. Next day before I could submit my details my status changed to stage 2. I returned back Finland last Saturday and informed migri via enterfinland that I am back home. However, since that day already a week passed I have not received any information from them neither my status has changed. However, there is this kind of issue that might hold me for quite a long time in stage 2, my son's residence permit expired in the end of October and we have applied for extension in September and now most probably they are just waiting his residence permit extension, which does not sound logical. Hence, I wanted to ask is there anyone who received citizenship before pending residence permit extension is approved.
My country is not in the list.
Thank you for your replies.
My Application moved to stages 2 September. Bfore that I informed them I am traveling for 2 weeks. After I came from vacation. I sent them e-mail them to back to Finland.
October they asked for supplement their mentions I have been 5 times out side the country wich I was not it was 3 times I asked them to correct it. Questions about how did I finance the trip and How I am going manage to pay the debt in future.I explain and reply the them still waiting stage 2 in 2 and half months.maximum 19kk. I am planning to wait 6 month forward not bother me. Permanent residence permit valid for 2027 and passport 2026. I let Migri täti to to make decision when ever she want. I don’t care anymore 😀

Can I walk-in at Malmi office? I applied online last October but the next available interview is 03.2023, my permit due to family ties will expire in 11.2024. I do not want to reapply another permit in case the processing takes more 1.5 years because I know that you should have a valid permit when you have a citizenship application.

Also I read here about providing supplements for travels. What does that mean? Are stamps on passport enough and what if some travels do not have stamps like when I spend vacations within EU? I was studying here for the last 3 years before I had a permanent job contract working for municipality, if that proves that I am living here though.

Walk-ins... You could always try and see how it goes. Another thing you can do is check the migri appointment system daily for cancellations. You might get lucky that way. Alternatively, you might be able to make an appointment in another city. I don't think it matters where you prove your identity.

Supplements for travel... You can add information to your application by logging into your account in enterfinland. In my case, I simply created and uploaded a PDF containing the dates of a recent trip in the EU. If ever they have :?: :?: :?:, they'll ask.

Hi, there must be a valid permit on the moment of the decision about citizenship.

Question: How exactly did you notify Migri about your traveling via enterfinland?
Hi, thank you for response.
I have a valid residence permit with validity until August 2023, but my son waits a decision for his application. His application does move at all and based on experience of my colleagues child residence permit extension has the lowest urgency.

I was sending information about my travels in enterfinland as a message using send additional information section.

Let's goooooo
Any news from your end amigo? :?
I got requested an answer to the negative opinion of Supo. I now must send the letter explaining something (?) about why I'm considered a possible danger to the state security. They don't list a reason. I will get a negative decision from Migri anyway.

Having a negative request from SUPO might be deportation I read a case wich is KHO is not available to either can’t force to SUPO to list the reasons. Because what ever was happened in another country in the past written database data exchange 21 century always found out.The application for citizenship is not only applied for becoming a citizen, the application is also examined like a lawsuit.

Hi Everyone! This is what happens when you applied citizenship.
Algorithms as case processing tools
• Human handlers use algorithms to process applications, they just aren't called algorithms.
• Algorithms are based on the review of data entered by people.
• The Finnish Immigration Service uses the UMA information system for processing applications. In this information system, these algorithms can transform the problem into a form and give the system the task automatically.
• Additional control for different design processes based on algorithms already for years.
• Algorithm designers who want to identify the process explained as algorithms.

How does the information used enter the Immigration Office's information system?
• The Finnish Immigration Service's information system can automatically request information from other people's information systems. The information is stored in the Finnish Immigration Service's information system so that the Finnish Immigration Service's handlers can use it.
• Information can currently be requested and stored in the information system of the Finnish Immigration Service
• From the Population Information System
• From the fine and criminal records of the Center for Legal Records
• About the police information system
• About the taxation system of the Tax Administration
• Kela's benefit processing and income support information system
• In addition, certain authorities enter information directly into the Immigration Office's system, whose TE offices enter the information of the partial decision on the employee's residence permit. More you can read here https://www.eduskunta.fi/FI/vaski/Julka ... 273673.pdf
