We have/had the Stokke Sleepi, it was excellent until a few months ago when madam declared that it was too small and she wouldn't sleep in it. We had removed the side bars but it wasn't good enough for her. She now has a cabin bed (raised with drawers underneath).
Caroline- I would steer clear of cot beds, they are still fairly high (30+ cm) off the ground. What about a futon where she is at floor level?

Does anyone know where I can find a cot bed in Helisnki? you know, where your 18 month old (ish) has outgrown the standard Finnish cot (115 x 60) and needs a bigger cot that then changes into a bed (see link below 143 x 77). My little one can't sleep right at the moment as she keeps thrashing about and bumping into the sides all night long as its just too small, I wonder what all the Finnish families use until the kids are too small to fall out of a regular bed?

The only one I've seen is in Stockmann for a ridiculous EUR700?!

Thanks
Caroline
you don´t really find such in Finland, for some reason. I was lucky to get a secondhand one from a family lived in Germany. But: if you stick to this, order from ebay.de. 140x70 size bed should serve for long time+resale value is good, as you don´t get such here.

example: 70 euro+shipping cost (I payed ~45€ for playpen delivery with DHL)

A bit late, but I happened to run into this site, with several pinnasänky that turn into an ordinary bed:

Sorry I know you have probably had enough of this topic now but I am Christmas shopping and I came across the most gorgeous fairy toddler bed on Great little trading....If only Grace were bigger!
Anyway the site is worth a look even if the bed is sorted!
Hope to see you on Thursday..Will you be at Stockmanns???

Hi Michaela.
Totally weird! I actually ordered the classic toddler bed from this site already, its perfect, very low and with sides (the shipping costs from England was about EUR100 so cost not bad at all). Thanks a lot for thinking of us and forwarding on the site anyway.
Cheers Caroline
