That was a joke to mean that referencing is good to validate what you say. :-)
raamv wrote: Mind you my idiotic or should I call you stupid sir that this is not US..
Guess I was not clear again. :-) I was elaborating on the options available for grads from India; nothing to do with Finland as such. The point is, its not right to say that Indian universities are not recoginesed outside India.
raamv wrote: and how would you expect the Govenrments and Companies to believe in this ??
If you are referring to transparency international, its a good point. There is certainly bias but I guess there aren't many globaly recogined indices available to measure corruption, Or are they? They play a major role in UN corruption prevention; so my belief is that companies and governments can trust the figures. To start with, you can read a bit more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transparency_International

I prefer not doing it, if I can't be passionate about it.

Einstein died in 1955 way before most of us here were born - and was a physicist. What relevance does this have to the capability of ‘professional’ engineering in India?

The article I read was in the print version of the New Economist in the second quarter of last year. In the US and Australia at least, no Indian mechanical/civil engineering degree is recognised by any professional association. They want bridges etc to stay up there I guess.

I could not agree more ! India = cheap = low skills/quality = failure.

Thanks for posting the link to this interesting table.

Finland transparency ranking = 1

India transparency ranking - SEVENTY TWO

I rest my case. Good for Finland !
