true flavor out, everything should be "right", even including the water. Yeah, I'm that "picky" in food.
I go to that store occasionally too, and regret later.

So you mean to say that other cultures let food go bad and then eat!!
Its pretty much the same in Asian cultures... The Now.cooked versus storing in the fridge..
I am soo used to storing in the Fridge for hard-to.cook Indian foods that that is way better than the freshness advertised in many restaurants..

How does commenting on Chinese food have anything to do with any
other cultures?! Besides, not being fresh doesn't mean it has to go bad.

I eat whatever is available depending I am, so I don't particularly try to find Asian food here, or a good reindeer restaurant in, say, New Zealand. Actually it's quite easy to tell whether they use fresh material or not-- They can't fool me.

Yes well in Finland it is *not* customary you order chicken and you see the cook chasing one in the back yard....

Well..The context was like that... The essence of any food from Any culture is its freshness..

Why does there
have to be something to be compared with Chinese food?! It's not that hard to notice I made no comparison since the beginning, but if we
must come up with one from my side, it can only be Chinese food "from China vs. from overseas"-- I think that's what OP meant for "authentic" Chinese hotpot. What's the point bringing up
other cultures here and trying to put words into my mouth anyway? Be it Finnish food, Indian, French, they are not my concern in this thread.

Really? I heard the cook would take one egg out and wait till it grows into a full chicken before serving you. Your information needs updating.

But is that common in China, or is it a bit of a delicacy or...??? I'm really curious to know.
