I think I have made about 30 euros worth of calls to these numbers after the law was changed. I don't think it's worth the effort.ajdias wrote:Can one ask for a refund, if that call was made after the law changed?![]()
Simple Bloody Greed!
Re: Simple Bloody Greed!
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.
Re: Simple Bloody Greed!
If you have a detailed phone bill showing you called their number then why not? I would write them a good old-fashioned letter and see what happens.
Re: Simple Bloody Greed!
One needs to do that! And if no response - then to make a rikosilmoitus - sure - trouble - one has to go to Pasila for Helsinki - but such a report can be made at any police station in Finland - phone bill sufficient evidence. If you have a detailed phone bill showing you called their number then why not? Could someone please give the cogent details of the law change? (1-2 sentences)

Code: Select all
FinnKino has probably outsourced the telephone customer service to an external company so are not actually making money out of it at all. So maybe not greed on their behalf but more like they don't care whether their customers get value for money.

Consumers have to start to force companies to go back to the original model of pricing WITH the usual costs of doing business.

Hold the phone
What's going on? There's a fresh law and is not being enforced? If I exceed the speed limit I get hit by a fine - etc. etc.
The Consumer Organization is a toothless tiger - I don't have the law in hand but surely they are not the enforcing authority.
The situation must be subject to a rikosilmoitus and some private group should step forward and make one! Even some newspaper could do it - make some calls - get the documentation - and then go to the police - and end up with a widely-read story,
+++++++++++
Indeed I posted a topic here about this area - and was only told I should pay attention to the prices!

Of course one should pay attention to prices - that's what this is all about - we have a democracy and even get laws passed - and then no one enforces them - and as far as 'watching prices,' the YLE article tells they are not often told.
I've noticed that this forum specializes in the questions like 'where can I get left-handed toothbrushes with instructions in Polish'. If someone tries to bring up a subject where some public attention would be needed to correct some wrong - then they are told they are a malcontent grump troll and just sit back and enjoy life. So I wonder often what this forum is all about - maybe it should just have the one option of clicking a thumb and 'liking.'

There's an online form (in Finnish and Swedish) to report a crime.harryc wrote:One needs to do that!
