Watch how he treats his mothers, sisters and other women there. Then, you will get an idea of how he will treat you when the love wears off a bit.
Thats just it. Mothers and sister are in a totally different league than a western girl with her slutty ways.

Daryl, I thought they had something like that, just didn't find it.
That's of course just a good thing to have a law like that.
Thank you, finally for the answer.

When did I say I wasn't going to finish my studies?
Of course I will. I don't want to think I wasted 4 years of my life to it and have nothing to show for...

All I can say now, is that I'm just going to go to Morocco with one or two of my friends to meet him when I can. We'll see what happens. If he really wants to marry me, he can wait. He should also first come and see what it would be like to live in Finland.

(and fo the norwegian, that's someone he was talking with when we started talking and they split up some time after. and as I'm a bit of a coward I didn't speak to him for 4 months during the summer but I missed him, so...)

I must say.. BOYFRIEND??? You haven't met him at all, and you talk about boyfriend? (Messenger-friends are NOT real boyfriends, you know..) No way. Have you had a real boyfriend at all?

I have been in Morocco, and I don't want to go there anymore. Trust me, you wouldn't be happy there. Trust me! A week was enough to convince me. Well, maybe you have to see it for yourself.

How did you met this man anyways?

I'm very sorry for being so nasty, but I'm just worried...
I have been a naive country-girl myself, but my eyes have opened. Sad but true.

Please, don't rush into anything! Don't do anything just to please this man.

At least there has been some improvement in women´s position. For example for the past five years or so men have had to ask the permission of the existing wife before they can take a second one.

Interesting discussion. Of course, we have the statistics (btw, what are they, 70-80% failed marriages?), but relations between individuals tend to be, well, individual. So I would never advice anyone without knowing the particulars to give up a relationship just because I happen to know the nationalities in question. Of course you can have words of caution about any relationship but there's no knowing which combinations will work and which won't. Well, I suppose this is a somewhat personal question for me as my wife happens to be Estonian. I really could not care less about her nationality as such, but do feel myself very lucky indeed that after all twists and turns I managed to find someone so right for me...

Go.....go girl! go for it!!

i may be the only one here , saying you to go for it, i am of the opinion, irrelevant of what happens between you, we need all these different cultural mixes to be imported to finland, the more foreigners the better, just look at downtown stockholm, and u see almost all the shops & restaurants run by lebanese or morrocan guys, and i feel yes we need more of foreigners in finland and in visible positions and to influence the way of life say ...10 , 20 yrs from now,

so go for it gal :D

Yes, if they bring their sisters with them. You know the farmers need brides. And we Finnish men surely would appreciate some moroccan and lebanese women who would know their place.
