I think it's enlightening to hear about real-life experiences of a would-be immigrant.
Sometimes it amuses me when I hear statistics like 90% assylum seekers from X country were physically beaten in their country. X number of female assylum seekers were raped in their home country.......

Are people really so stupid that they believe that the person is telling the truth? They would create any story to help their cause of staying in Finland. When you see stories of assylum seekers it seems their country is a hell and there is no way to spend a single day there. But paradoxically what first thing these assylum seekers do is, visit their home country as soon as they become eligible to do so, and go there regularly afterwards and for months. Even the ones who have all the families (wife+children) here. I would not give any credibilty to the story of any assylum seeker or would be assylum seeker. A vast majority of them is here just because of economic reasons, nothing else.

There are genuine assylum seekers as well but in most of the cases the ones who reach here would never get the assylum if they tell their true life story.

How to come to Finland

1- Studies is the best and the easiest option, if your main aim is to reach Finland then apply for any course where there is a chance for you. Don't look only for master's degree programmes that will decrease your chances, apply in polytechs and even in lowers level courses. Once you are here there is no problem in staying in Finland, There are 101 ways to stay here after that. e.g getting a work, even cleaning, finding a man, or even creating a story and seeking assylum, if you are a Christian, churches would love to help you, as they do for a large number of Africcans.

2- It's not rare that Finns are marrying foreigners, and that is also not true that only low-life finns marry Asian/ Africans. You can find Finns from all walks of life married with brown or black people. Even one of the presidential candidate in last election had a dark partner. The reasons are obvious, and have been discussed in details many times. So if you want to take this line then go to some touristic place like sharm el sheikh or you know better where else. There are a plenty of Finns, go and try your luck. The main reason for men to marry foreigners is more family caring wife who doesn't have a hell of demands and who doesn't want to find equality issues in everything. So if you are a femminist then your chances are slim but if you are a traditional Egyptian, and willing to try everything to make him happy, chances are quite ok.

To find a Finnish guy you can also try your luck at places where some Finnish Chrisitan organisations are doing some kind of charity or development work. Mostly devouted Christians don't care about your colour and most of the Finnish ladies also don't fit in their God-given description of a wife. So chances are good.

Anyway, where there is a will, there is a way. You are the best person to decide and take a path.

Good luck

Naah, Finnish men don't want to take a bottle-opener to bed to have sex with their wife, they prefer au naturel to traditional Egyptian.

Finland seems to be "the last resort", as Europe is sinking down, everyone wants to get here.

And here is a person who doesn't quite get how the economy works.

I'm sorry to have brought it up so much later but it was totally called for.

And where does the taxpayer money come from? The global economy is, in a nutshell, like a nest of wires. Let's say, hypothetically, that Finnish electronics industry disappears completely overnight. Sucks for people in Finland and a global shock for several months, but, I argue even in the most unstable of times, other regions of the world will spur and fill the hole. Finland's external debt is a lovely 70k per capita and possibly growing, which means investors and creditors from all over the world depend on the prosperity of this particular country, but even this is not that simple. Everyone owes billions or sometimes trillions to everyone else. It's a bit like a room full of people who give each other money, don't pay it back, keep writing down big numbers on napkins and spend both what they have just given away and what they have received as if it's all in their hands. Finland is a heavy participant in this, but it seems things have gone too far now and all that will happen if your electronics industry disappears overnight, is potentially the EU will collapse, the foreigners will go home, and remaining business will suffer a bit. The world will recover completely. Not any one country is economically 'the last resort', because not any single country functions by itself.

Similarly, if all other economies disappeared, leaving Finland in a vacuum, many Finns will die of malnutrition in a matter of months, but this is more of a science fiction plot. It's also a bit silly :)

This brings us to foreigners, taxpayers pay for. First of all, quite a lot of these foreigners are taxpayers themselves.
Second, 'the little people' may be a problem, but they are nothing strict regulations and A-class economy can't handle.
We are all f***ed, everyone on Earth. Even though Finland got a nice proportion of the world's wealth, it may miss out on future development if it will not allow people within its borders or make them feel unwelcome, based on those people's abilities, of course. If there is potential, I say, it doesn't matter where someone comes from.

EDIT: (To a post from a few months ago).

What I argued up there was fairly silly :) . A bit of reading on economics and on other things made me realise most of the things I say here are very questionable :) . Aaaaaahh, Internet forums.......
