Minkä, jonka

Post by suru » Wed Jul 27, 2005 2:13 pm

There has already been a comment on this (check the mitä, mikä thread), but to say it again: many finns rape the beautiful Finnish language using minkä instead of jonka in a relative sentence when refering only to the last word mentioned and not to the whole sentence.
So, let us create an anti-rape league, reporting all the mistakes usually made by native speakers. ;)

Second point on my list: compounds. Why do you have to write them apart when it looks awful and is wrong? Check your local Finnish newspaper for mistakes and ask your money back if you find more than 5 per page (very likely, unlikely that they'll give you the money back).
