When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Cheers, Hank W.

At least you have time to learn Finnish get a degree or two and then you'll have a good chance, then investigate if you still want to move and where. Then you can start thinking back: "why did I want to move to Finland again?"

Hei-i wanted to move to Finland too and speak Finnish from age of 15(I just turned 20 just over week ago). It was my dream.
I went 2 times for holiday, summer and winter. because winters here are cold.
I have saved lots of money-because you will need it, made friends from internet who helped me and my boyfriend who i just got engaged to helped too.
Luckily i have friends from chat room that needed au pair, so i offered as i wanted to be in Finland to be near my BF as he goes to army for 9 months.
(if you get a boyfriend here he will have to go to army for 6,9 or 12 months) which REALLY sucks!!!!!!
I also attend Finnish language lessons 2 times a week, and meet others in same situations as me.
Its quite hard work when you have to do everything from england yourself and no one helps and you have to leave your family.....
make sure you can cope with that first, and Finnish language has 15 different endings for words compared to 3 of english.....
but its a phoetic language which makes it a bit easier i guess.
Just make sure you know what you are doing and have enough money for everything, as its hard to get a job if you only speak english, and like me-people will try to moan at you and tell you that you are doing wrong and try to ersuade you not to go.....but if its your dream-then you must persue it :D
