Cancellation of Specialist RP because of unemployment

Hello all,

I was left unemployed almost 1.5 years ago because of company's financial issues. Since then I took integration courses and currently finishing my masters degree while looking for a job constantly. I just received a letter from Migri about possible cancellation of my residence permit. They asked many questions in the letter, so I assume they are trying to understands my situation and how strong my ties to Finland.

I was wondering if anybody faced similar issues, what to focus on my response and what not to? If you have suggestions on legal council, I would also appreciate that. I have no intention to stay here illegal nor cause issues, I know that I can switch to student permit but hoping not to as I'll finish my studies until June anyways. If it comes to that, of course I'll do it.

How much time did they give you to respond?

Migri said one month ago, they will start to check all the first work permit given after 2022 and the extended one given after 2023, and they will check if the people still working or not,

The problem is you changed your situation and started to study, you can explain to them that you changed because the company has some financial problems and you couldn’t find jon after that during the situation in finland and how’s it difficult to find jobs,

But ofcourse you have to ask a lawyer but he will not help that much because they said they will check all the people and you said you get unemployment benefits and thats bad situation in my opnion
