residence permit application: Family ties OR employment

Hello!
I plan to apply my wife and 2 kids a residence permit based on family ties and I started to find my a wife a job so she can have a guaranteed means of support.

Luckily, i found an employer but would like my wife to be in finland in 3mos.

Would it be possible to have the visa in 3mos? What are the right things to do to speed up the process?Whici is more compelling for a faster processing of resince permit, based on family ties or employment?

Your opinions are greatly apprciated.

If the company offers employment, then the company itself should be able to speed up the process by saying simply 'We'd like to hire this person, please get her over here' to Ulkomaalaisvirasto.

Hi,

There is a simple answer: Get your wife here on visit visa. Start the process of resident permit the day she is here. File the employment permit after that (a week or so). By the time the job starts the permits are pasted on your wife's passport.

P.S: Dont expect the police to say "yes this is possible", if you ask :)
