Average Processing Times for Residence Permits

Post by ashish » Fri Jan 27, 2006 12:12 pm

Hi!

I am applying for a residence permit as an employed person and I found this information related to the average processing time for one:

http://www.uvi.fi/netcomm/content.asp?article=2588

The average processing time there for an employed person is 2 months, but they also mention that simple cases are processed more quikcly.

I was hoping - and I was also told by the company who is hiring me - that I would get the residence permit in less than a month.

Do you know if that's possible? Maybe someone who already got the res permit can make me feel better by telling me that she/he got it quicker? I really like to consider myself one of the "simple cases".... :) Is a month really too short?

Thanks a lot!

From what I understand, those posted "estimated times" are on the long end.

The time it takes may also depend upon where you apply. It may only take a week! For instance:

Thanks for the link... and sorry I opened a new topic :(

I am moving to Helsinki, so my case might not be one of the simplest, as I understand...
