Anyone who uses "albeit" correctly (well, you could conceivably have inserted a "that" after it, but it's not really compulsory) and spells it right (did you cheat?) is being modest about their English skills. You'd give most native-speaking posters here a decent run for their money.

I sympathise with your sense of limbo in feeling you are not able to use overdrive in any language, but "in second gear" you are most definitely not.

Or were you referring to ORAL skills?

P.S. A few capital letters wouldn't come amiss. 8)

read, read, read....

....all kinds of stuff, not just the heavy literature but even trash, magazines, newspapers, anything you can lay your hands on. That way you will become familiar with all different kinds of English.

But I agree with the Namibian bloke.... sounds like your English is pretty good. Are there any particular situations in which you feel you are not able to communicate as you would wish? I'm often confronted with this "small talk" issue where students believe their inability to talk about the weather, football, pop idols, etc is due to their "poor" English.... when really it's more of a cultural thing. Teaching small talk is something I was rarely asked to do when I was working in France.

Alas, albeit being slightly and very drunk, I might come across the following: hello to this conversation. I admit that I do not really have no idea of the basic idea, but .. there I go, forgetting the idea. But there 'tis. Be-it-all.

Not that I'm anyone to have a say. Try to insert "notwithstanding" in any reasonable hello to bastards conversation.

With much fun,

P.

The very effort, as a foreigner to the tongue of the world.

Shall try, notwithstanding help from a dictionary, albeit out-dated,

goes as follows:

Inasmuch, asserted as it is, as of, in re the following,

[insert game]...

Haha!
