I understand that Swedish is also an official language in Finland, although spoken natively by a minority.
My question is this: Are all official papers also in Swedish? I'm Icelandic and for some twisted reason we're forced to learn a pseudo-language commonly referred to as "Danish" in school... but the bonus is that reading Swedish is pretty easy to us.
In Iceland it's almost as if the government is trying to make immigrants' lives a living hell when it comes to paperwork, by expecting them to learn Icelandic even before they even have a remote chance of learning it. I'm wondering if it's the same in Finland... either English or Swedish is fine, but with all due respect, I'm not gonna learn Finnish until I've been over there for a while.

Swedish vs. Finnish

Yes, its an official language so everything *must* be available in Finnish and Swedish - in the bilingual counties atleast you get them side-by side, going to Sisä-Savo they might need to go get a vacoom cleaner first. But then again if you get the paper in front of you, remember the bureaucratese hasn't much evolved from 1809

Sinun pitäisi kirjoittaa englanniksi, ei suomeksi. Sinä kirjoitat niin huonoa suomea, että kukaan ei ymmärrä mitä sinä tarkoitat.
a pretty good machine translation into English of the text above .

Opinto... Please dont post anything where you try to be "funny". It insults me that you literally rape my language withouth having even slightest try to write it like it should be written.
Atleast i assume you are trying to be funny, other intepretion is that you try to insult finns and i wont like to go there.
Every online or other machine translator makes way better finnish than your mocking insult of "something what resembles finnish", stop it.
Write in english, if you cant then dont write at all.

You can if you want. Doesn't bother me. It makes you sound like Matti Vanhanen speaking tankero english though. Whatever floats your boat....
